I had heard about Goat milk soap and the benefits that it has for our skin.  Our skin being the largest organ in our bodies, absorbs all the toxins from the air and things that we come in contact with or put on our skin, weather it is the sun, smog, or lotions, soaps and perfumes to name a few.  Goat milk is not only nutritious for us to drink, but it's also used in skin care.  Cleopatra took goat milk baths to sooth and moisturize her skin.  Our skin takes a beating every day.  What we put on our body is as important as what we put in our body.

My skin was terrible.  It was dry, flaky, and itchy.  I already knew I couldn't use lotions, soaps and perfumes on my skin, I broke out in a rash. I was even sensitive to laundry soaps.  I needed to try something different.

With all this milk I had extra- why not try goat milk soap.  I gathered all the ingredients and supplies together and tried my first batch of soap.  It was ok.  I could use it and not break out in a rash.  My skin stopped being so itchy.  I was definitely on to something.  I played with my recipe over the next few years using only natural and organic ingredients and came up with a very creamy, moisturizing bar of soap.  My skin is no longer as dry as it was, no itching or flaking.

The next thing I tried was shampoo bars, although they don't have goat milk in them, I use all natural ingredients and essential oils.  I love my recipe and have used it now for nearly 20 years.

This summer I put out my first hand cream for those working farm girl hands.  It has been a big hit as well.

I sell my soap, shampoo and hand cream at our local farmers market.
